En 1990 et 1991, ce thème s'inscrit dans <a href="http://yvesjuhelpeintre.hautetfort.com/archive/2022/06/06/serie-misere-et-solitude-6384336.html">une série d'œuvres</a> composée d'études et d'huiles plus abouties.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Ce dessin a été réalisé sur une feuille au format 65x50 au fusain, à la sanguine et à la craie blanche. Comme souvent, les épaules du personnage sont voûtées. Elles sont disproportionnées au regard du reste du corps, tout comme les bras, qui présentent une forme étrange, improbable. Le tronc est massif, mais une grande fragilité semble émaner de cet homme aux traits soucieux. Il s'agit de dessins sur papier, essentiellement au fusain, mais aussi, pour certains, à la sanguine et à la craie blanche. La plupart de ces dessins ont été réalisés sur des feuilles au format 65x50, avec une exception, le premier de la série, ci-dessus, en 138x105. Une œuvre qui présente la particularité d'être encadrée et sous verre, contrairement aux autres.&nbsp;</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Il ne fait aucun doute que l'artiste a dessiné cette série dans son village de Moïta, dans la Castagniccia, cette région de Corse boisée et montagneuse qui surplombe la plaine orientale. Certains de ces dessins portent d'ailleurs la mention "Paysage corse", et le premier est intitulé "Le châtaignier", arbre qui a donné son nom à ce petit paradis.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Cette série compte onze dessins répertoriés. Cinq d'entre eux ont été numérotés de 1 à 5 par l'artiste. Le fusain donne un aspect automnal, voire hivernal, à ces paysages. La majorité d'entre eux ne portent que la mention de l'année. Pour se refaire la main et l'inspiration, le 1er, il dessine une douzaine d'animaux au fusain, sur des feuilles en petit format. En voici un exemplaire supplémentaire daté, comme deux autres de la série, du 7 juillet.&nbsp;</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Cette œuvre sur papier (65,5x50) mêle le fusain et la gouache. L'insecte, construit classiquement selon un axe de symétrie vertical, présente des ailes supérieures disproportionnées au regard des inférieures. En noir, au fusain, une partie des contours, les antennes, et les motifs des ailes. Mais les tons rouges l'emportent, sur un papier que l'artiste a fait souffrir, le mouillant et le brossant, au point de lui donner un aspect très peluché, voire même de le trouer (la feuille est réparée au ruban adhésif, au dos, au milieu).</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Outre la signature et la date, inscrites au recto, le nombre 20 a été noté au verso par le peintre. Au total, seuls trois sont ainsi numérotés, portant les chiffres 18, 20 et 21. Ce qui peut laisser entendre que l'artiste répertoriait certaines de ses séries.&nbsp;</span></p><p style="text-align: right;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">O. Parmi elles, les chiens sont très présents. &nbsp; En juillet, il y a une petite série mêlant encre et gouache (voir le <a href="http://yvesjuhelpeintre.hautetfort.com/archive/2014/12/13/son-oeuvre-dans-les-collections-privees-1-5509589.html">N° 382</a>). Du 10 au 29 août, il enchaîne les représentations, à la gouache mais aussi à l'huile (voir ainsi le <a href="http://yvesjuhelpeintre.hautetfort.com/archive/2019/02/11/l-oeuvre-de-la-semaine-216-le-bouledogue-6128123.html">N° 321</a>). Le 31 août, il cumule les dessins au fusain (voir le <a href="http://yvesjuhelpeintre.hautetfort.com/archive/2018/10/22/l-oeuvre-de-la-semaine-200-6098780.html">N° 525</a> ou le&nbsp;<a href="http://yvesjuhelpeintre.hautetfort.com/archive/2015/11/16/l-oeuvre-de-la-semaine-50-5716998.html">N° 513</a>).</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Cinq œuvres sont datées de la seule journée du 25 août. On a par exemple déjà vu ici le <a href="http://yvesjuhelpeintre.hautetfort.com/archive/2016/07/18/l-oeuvre-de-la-semaine-85-5827454.html">N° 642</a> et le <a href="http://yvesjuhelpeintre.hautetfort.com/archive/2018/07/22/l-oeuvre-de-la-semaine-188-6067851.html">N° 648</a>. Celle que nous présentons cette semaine est de la même veine. De l'encre et du fusain pour les contours, de la gouache pour la matière et un fond très dilué, le tout sur une feuille de 65,5x50.
