Je viens de passer la pire journée de ma (courte) carrière. Allez, je te raconte, qu’on en rigole ensemble.

Je passerai sur ma nuit finie à 4 heures…

Mon Crapiot dormait encore quand je suis partie, donc j’ai même pas eu le bonheur de voir sa petite tête enfarinée avant de me farcir les gnomes.

J’arrive à l’école, une collègue est absente (et bien sûr non remplacée, MERCI la politique actuelle de suppression de poste). Admettons.

J’arrive à la photocopieuse. Y’a plus de tonner. Je change la cartouche. J’arrive pas à l’ouvrir et force comme une bourrine : j’en mets de PARTOUT. Si tu visualises pas le truc, imagine de la poudre noire qui se répand sur la table, sur la photocopieuse, sur mes chaussures, sur mon pantalon, sur mon manteau.

J’ai déjà une première montée de larmes, je me dis que ça promet.

Passage chez ma directrice pour lâcher un peu de lest.

Nettoyage de mon bordel par les ATSEM (je me suis excusée, je suis pas ingrate non plus). Changement de cartouche par une ATSEM.

BOURRAGE PAPIER.
Pas moyen de situer ce PUTAIN de papier coincé, et pourtant j’ai désossé la photocopieuse…

Il n’y a plus (enfin, toujours pas) de feuilles pour plastifier.

Youhou, la journée commence fort, je suis à la bourre, je sais pas comment je vais faire sans photocops, je suis dégueu.

Les élèves arrivent pour l’aide perso.

On se pèle le cul dehors car on bosse sur le vocabulaire de la cour et c’est tellement mieux de partir d’objets réels plutôt que de trucs abstraits. Ma conscience professionnelle aura ma peau.

Les autres gnomes débarquent. J’hallucine, toutes les mères comme par hasard ont un rendez-vous AUJOURD’HUI même, alors qu’aucune ne bosse (les gamins me l’ont dit après). JE ME TAPE 8 GAMINS DECHAINES EN PLUS. Je me sens comme le pire déchet de la création. Genre on a cru que j’étais une halte-garderie, je te refile mon gosse pour pouvoir me faire le maillot peinarde.

Je suis en train de me prendre la tête pour pondre vite fait un truc intelligent qui permettrait à ces gamins d’apprendre quelque chose dans ces conditions déplorables. Putain, alors je devrais juste être en mode survie là.

Je suis super contente car j’avais prévu une séance de langage à partir de photos prises la semaine dernière. Trop bien, je suis au top du top, ils vont kiffer leur petite mémé, le coup du vidéoprojecteur ça marche à tous les coups (ouais je suis trop une instit 2.0).

LE VIDEOPROJECTEUR REFUSE DE PRENDRE EN CHARGE LES PHOTOS (trop lourdes, je l’ai appris à mes dépends). Je fais donc un gros flop et songe à sauter par la fenêtre, dommage on est au rez-de-chaussée.

Et en plus, j’ai mes ragnoufs.

Comment remplir une déchiqueteuse...

Le jour tant attendu arriva donc un mardi... Pas le dernier jour de boulot non, mais le dernier jour au boulot, après avoir été enchainée à un casque, après avoir gardé les yeux rivés sur des files d'appels qui défilaient sur un écran, après avoir passé quelques milliers d'heures sur des présentation power point, ça sonnait déjà comme une délivrance...
Je préparai un document de "handover" pour mon successeur non encore identifié, je conclus mon dernier management meeting par l'annonce tant attendue: "Mes chers compatriotes, ceci était mon dernier meeting avec vous... Pour le moment!"
Je vidai mon casier où je découvris moult trésors enfouis, presque oubliés... Le petit cochon rose que Hana m'avait donné, le martisor amené par Cristina, le trèfle en papier de St Patrick distribué à toute l'équipe par Oana... Mais aussi les vestiges d'une époque révolue: cahiers remplis de notes de mes propres appels, fichiers de distribution des tâches d'agents partis depuis longtemps, d'une époque où misterdoudou ne s'appelait encore qu'Oussama et où malgré quelques accrochages, l'équipe roulait comme sur des roulettes et enchaînait les bons résultats... Parmi tout cela, des couverts en tous genre, et même des assiettes en carton, vestiges de mes premiers mois de team leader, ma boite à sucre, qui ne me servait jamais mais si populaire parmi "mes" agents, les résultats de mon premier "champion of the month" avec la photo de la gagnante partie depuis longtemps... Une fois tout cela vidé et trié, je me dirigeai vers la déchiqueteuse et la nourris jusqu'à ce qu'elle n'en puisse plus, d'années d'appels téléphoniques, les miens mais aussi ceux des autres, de documents ramassés ça et là sur les bureaux de mes agents pour des raisons de compliance, et jamais réclamés par les intéressés... Puis je rendis la clef de mon casier à la gardienne des clefs, qui en retour me signa la fameuse "exit list": le saint Graal de tout employé s'en allant vers de nouvelles aventures.
La chasse aux signatures avait officiellement commencé. j'enchainai les visites aux diverses HR pour obtenir leurs autorisation de m'en aller, je signai aussi bon nombre de documents, que j'avais déjà signé il y a des jours, des mois, des années, qui confirmaient que je rendais bien ce que l'on m'avait prêté...
Et une fois le maximum fait, alors qu'il ne me manquait plus que trois signatures sur la liste en question, je pus rentrer chez moi, tenant fermement la liste salvatrice, tout en savourant intérieurement, ce petit goût de liberté...

*Woaow trop classe le passé simple hein? Ca rend tout ça bien émouvant comme il faut, on dirait que je m'en vais pour de vrai pour de bon alors qu'en vrai je bosse encore trois jours... Et que je reviendrai!*

De la grande joie de partir en vacances...

Ah les vacances! Ces jours bénis tant attendus pendant la période de travail... Tu comptes les mois (dans trois mois je suis en vacances!) puis les semaines (plus que 3 semaines!) puis les jours (youhouuuuuuu plus que 2 jours!) et ça te fait le même effet que la carotte pour l'âne: ça te fait faire ton boulot en attendant... Et ça te permet même de faire semblant d'être occupée au boulot quand tu n'es pa très motivée... Ben oui! Imagine un peu, des vacances ça se prépare et ça n'est pas qu'une histoire de valise!

Déjà il y a le boulot... Aaaaaaaaah le boulot! Il faut tout mettre en ordre avant de partir, boucler les tâches qu'on a commencées, annuler ou déléguer les meetings selon la situation... En ce moment ce qui est cool c'est que ce sont les vacances de Noêl qui se préparent, du coup comme personne n'a envie de bosser, tous les meetings sont annulés... Ca fait une question en moins à se poser! Une fois que tu as fait le tri dans tout ça, il faut te mettre en quête d'un nouveau meilleur ami back up. Un back up, késako? C'est LE pilier qui te remplacera pendant que tu couleras des jours heureux... Le roc qui résistera à la tempête même si il n'a aucune idée de quoi faire (c'est un truc de dingue les back ups, t'as beau tout leur expliquer avant de partir, ils se rappellent jamais quoi faire quand tu es partie...) Autant te dire que pour remplir ces conditions, il vaut mieux bien choisir! En général tu as un back up par défaut... tu t'arranges avec quelqu'un au début de l'année scolaire ta prise de position et tu le gardes pour la vie, et c'est réciproque en plus! Là, mon back up, pourtant averti de mon escapade un bon mois en avance, m'a informée en fin de semaine dernière, soit 3 jour souvrés avant mon départ, qu'il était aussi back up pour 5 autres personnes, et que même si je ne lui laissais absolument rien à faire, il ne pouvait pas assurer cette charge de travail supplémentaire. Traître. Au bûcher! Tu dois savoir lecteur, que consulter ton back up 1 mois en avance ne sert strictement à rien. Parce qu'il risque fort de t'arriver la même chose, le back up a la mémoire courte, et cet engagement n'est pas écrit (enfin si, mais y a des cas où on s'en fout), c'est plus une sorte de consentement mutuel... Mais si tu fais l'erreur de réserver ton back up un peu trop en avance, comme moi, pensant être tranquille, pas de panique! Il suffit de te mettre en quête d'un back up de secours. Après tout, je laisse place tellement nette, qu'en cette période de fêtes, mon nouveau back up ne devrait avoir strictement RIEN à faire. C'est juste une roue de secours: tu ne la sors qu'en cas de crevaison, et tu ne prévois pas de crever à) chaque fois que tu prends ta voiture... Le back up c'est pareil. Il peut très bien ne pas servir pendant des années, mais il faut toujours en avoir un sur soi.C'est bien joli tout ça, mais pour le trouver ce fameux back up à deux jours des vacances, comment qu'on fait-on? Oui parce que sache aussi que si un mois en avance, c'est trop tôt pour choisir ton back up, deux jours avant de partir, c'est trop tard, ça ne fait pas sérieux. c'est pour cela qu'il est préférable de préciser que ton back up attitré s'est décommandé lorsque tu formules ta demande, au risque sinon de passer pour la je m'en-foutiste de service! Et après tout, comme le précédent a déjà trahi, tu peux trahir aussi. La vie est bien faite. Donc, le plus tôt possible du tard, il vaut mieux vérifier dans tous les outils à ta disposition, la liste des personnes qui seront présentes lors de ton absence... Comprend: celles qui ne seront pas en vacances en même temps que toi. Dans le cas présent, c'était facile, il n'y en avait que 3. Oui, Noël est une période propice aux vacances... Parmi les 3, un grognon, un petit nouveau qui peine à trouver ses marques, et la fille sympa avec qui je prends de temps en temps des pauses quand il y a du soleil. Le choix fut vite fait. Et oui, aussi traître que cela puisse paraître, quand aucune des personnes n'a de plus grande connaissance de ton job que l'autre, ni de plus grande connexion, les affinités peuvent entrer en jeu, ça fait partie de la règle. Une fois le choix fait, il ne reste plus qu'à établir une stratégie d'approche de la proie. Et là tout dépend du choix. Dans le cas présent, j'ai opté pour la tournure super amicale. "Oh salut machine ça va? Oui moi aussi merci! Dis ça te dit d'être mon back up dans deux jours pendant une semaine? Normalement il n'y aura rien à faire du tout, tu fais juste la roue de secours..." Ça a marché. Il faut dire que je lui avait rendu le même service quelques mois plus tôt... Quand on a moins d'affinités avec le choix, ou quand le choix n'a pas marché et qu'il faut contacter les autres tour à tour, l'approche peut-être différente... "Bonjour, tu veux être mon ami je cherche un back up pour ces dates là, est-ce que tu es dispo? Normalement il n'y aura rien à faire comme c'est Noël..." Il faut ensuite recommencer l'opération de mendicité jusqu'à ce que mort s'ensuive l'un d'eux accepte... Ce cas e figure là me fait toujours penser à la cour de lécole primaire, où à chaque récré se formaient de petits groupes d'enfants qui bras-dessus bras-dessous défilaient dans la cour en criant "Qui c'est qui veut jouer avec nouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus?" Sauf que dans ce cas là, même une fois qu'on était dix, on ne s'arrêtait pas, si ce n'est à la sonnerie, pour réaliser qu'on n'avait pas joué... Mais qu'on avait quand même passé un bon moment! Bref, trêve de souvenirs, au bout de l'opération en général, tu t'en sors avec un back up quand même, et toutes ces péripéties t'ont tellement bien occupée, que personne n'a osé t'envoyer de nouvelles tâches entre temps, et tu te retrouves avec un jour d'avance, sans plus rien à faire, déjà en mode vacances, avec la bénédiction de la patronne admirative de ton grand dévouement à ton travail, qui t'a tellement absorbé ces derniers jours. La classe non?

Les lumières de la ville

Lorsque je rentre du lycée le soir, la nuit est déjà tombée. C’est l’heure du ballet des phares, les miens et ceux des autres, des lampadaires, des enseignes au néon des magasins, et, aussi, en ce moment, des décorations de Noël.

« C’est beau une ville la nuit » a écrit Bohringer en en-tête de l’un de ses livres. Bien sûr, c’est joli. La première fois que j’ai vu Los Angeles, dans l’avion qui m’y emmenait, il était dix heures du soir. Le spectacle était féérique, je n’oublierai jamais mon émerveillement couplé à l’exaltation de découvrir une ville un peu mythique. Vues de là-haut, les zones urbaines semblent toujours pouvoir dissimuler dans l’obscurité leurs aspects hideux, et faire briller leurs bijoux d’apparat. La vie semble plus intense, car même les lueurs fixes, celles des éclairages des rues et des néons, tremblotent légèrement. Et puis, bien sûr, il y a le long défilé lent des automobiles sur la route, tel une guirlande lumineuse. Vu d’en haut, on dirait toujours que c’est calme, sans précipitation, ni bousculades, ni bouchons. C’est très fallacieux, bien sûr.

Quand on est au ras du sol, les impressions sont bien sûr différentes. Moins de sérénité quand on est pris dans les embouteillages, et qu’on peut donc ‘profiter’ du bruit. Il n’empêche : le scintillement des lumières a un côté apaisant, c’est vrai. C’est joli, mais cela n’explique pas tout. D’où vient ce sentiment de sérénité, lorsque le soir tombe ? On ne le ressent pas avec la même intensité isolé dans un bois obscur, aux mêmes heures du jour. Dans ces moments-là, on peut lever les yeux vers les étoiles. Si elles ne sont pas cachées par les nuages ! Mais là, c’est éternité et plénitude. Les lumières de la ville, c’est sérénité et rectitude..

J’en suis venu à me dire que la raison pour laquelle on apprécie, sans réfléchir, de façon absurde, les phares, lumières et néons, c’est qu’ils sont des reflets de vie, des témoignages humains qui nous environnent pour nous enserrer dans un grand tout. C’est artificiel, certes, mais c’est un peu comme le reflet de millions de cœurs qui battent à l’unisson. La vie, quoi. On peut ne pas se sentir solidaire de la rumeur urbaine, mais ces loupiottes qui clignotent, on les aime bien parce qu’elles nous font une haie d’honneur, nous font sentir qu’on est un et qu’on est mille à la fois. Un défilé un peu dingue, mais on aime, de façon viscéralement irréfléchie, être enserré dans son cœur, quoiqu’on en pense.

Je n’aime pas la ville, mais j’aime ses lumières, le soir.

Surtout lorsque je rentre chez moi en voiture. C’te bonne blague. La sérénité, elle a aussi quelque chose à voir avec le fait que la journée de travail est terminée. Pour les autres, et pour moi.

Une loupiote rampante, tranquille dans son habitacle, semblable à des milliers d’autres.

Gens,

Je ne sais pas vous, mais moi, ma vie est en ce moment..comment dire, NUL A CHIER !

Si si, ça nous arrive desfois, on se dit qu'on irai bien voir papa/maman, histoire de pleurer un bon coup et se goinffrer de speculos. Quoi ? Comment ça c'est pas bon pour la ligne ? A d'autres hein!

BREF!

Moi, si j'avais pu choisir, je serai cosmonaute. LOL. Non juste j'aurai adoré me lancer dans l'humanitaire, la police, la psychologie, la négociation, la vie quoi.

Au lieu de ça, je me suis rangée dans la gestion, le truc lamda pour une nana qui sait pas quoi faire. Et bien, oulala qu'est ce que je regrette! C'est vrai quoi, mais quand on m'a dit "tu sais, tu vas travailler pour des commerciaux..c'est pas facil hein.." Ils auraient pu préciser que ça allait être un enfer au quotidien!

Tu arrives le matin, 9h00, y'a personne (bah oui faut pas les brusquer), tu lis tes mails, appelles la banque, prend ton thé et tes gateaux (bah oui, le pti dèj est passé depuis 2 bonnes heures, t'as la dalle!).

10h30, la smalla arrive et les emmerdes aussi.

- Eh tu t'es occupé des chiottes des mecs ? y'en a un qui s'est laché et c'est la merde ! mouarfmouarfmouarf c est l'cas de le dire! Bah quoi pourquoi tu rigoles pas?

(non mais serieux, j'm'en tape de ton dépose-merde !)

- OhOhOh la commande là, (la mienne), c'est la plus importante! Occupes-toi en tout de suite!

(phrase répétée par les 7 commerciaux 15 fois dans la journée..Comme si TOUT était important, j'suis désolé mais ton truc à 5 bouliches vaut rien mon coco dans la balance!)

- Dis voir coquine t'es joliement bien gaulée aujourd'hui !

(1-j'suis pas ta coquine; 2-Comprendre soit que d'habitude j'suis un ramassi de tissu sur pates, soit ..bah soit quoi.)

Et j'en passe!

Tu te barres exténuée à 17h00 (ton horaire quoi) et eux, les ptits gars bien sympa, il gueule parce que leurs affaires sont pas finies! Mais mon coco, arrive à l'heure et je serai dispo :)

Le pire je crois bien, c'est quand en plus de ça, tu te dis que tu vas pouvoir te détendre le lendemain, mais non, c'est pareil..

Et c'est sans compter le machiste en entreprise! On nous fait croire qu'on est égaux, blablablabla, du chiquet! Serieusement faut pas se leurer, (et je suis pas une féministe, loin de là) on est vraiment pas aider, nous, les femmes.

Et vous ? Des problèmes au boulot ? Entente avec les collègues mâles ? Racontez-moi !

C’est la rentrée … Même pour les microbes !

Alors j’ai fait une pré-rentrée la semaine dernière avec 3 jours de boulot puis un week-end de 3 jours, pour faire définitivement ma rentrée cette semaine. Ça c’était plutôt cool pour repartir en douceur !

Et cette semaine, c’est ma vraie rentrée, pas une seconde de répit une fois le pied posé dans nos locaux professionnels, vroum ! Turbo ! et la vraie rentrée de toute l’équipe au complet est la semaine prochaine, ça promet …

Mais ceux qui ont fait leur rentrée aussi, ce sont … les microbes !

Hulot flingue Europe-Ecologie, mais le parti lui laisse la porte ouverte

Nicolas Hulot l'avait promis : 'A l'instant o le candidat ou la candidate sera choisi, je serai dans le constructif et le positif' dclarait-il le 4 juillet au Monde.fr entre les deux tours de la primaire d'Europe Ecologie-Les Verts. Pourtant, quelques jours plus tard, alors que sa dfaite face Eva Joly se dessineprcisment, l'initiateur du pacte cologique exprime son amertume vis--vis du parti, de ses principaux dirigeants et mme des sympathisants dans un entretien au magazine Bretons.

L'entretien a paru vendredi 29 juillet, mais c'est le 10 juillet que Nicolas Hulot a reu chez lui, Saint Lunaire, la rdaction du magazine breton. Mme si les rsultats du second tour des primaires ne sont pas dfinitifs, il sait alors que les jeux sont faits : sa concurrente, Eva Joly, qui avait frl l'lection ds le premier tour, le distance trop largement pour qu'il puisse esprer revenir. A cet chec au terme d'une campagne clair de trois mois, s'ajoute l'humiliation : la veille, le samedi 9 juillet , lors de la mobilisation contre l'aroport Notre-Dame-des-Landes, il a reu sur la tte un plein sceau d'pluchures. 'Je me suis fait agresser par ce militant' et Eva Joly 'n'a pas eu un mot. Si elle avait t malmene de la sorte, je me serais insurg dans la seconde. Tout a n'est pas trs noble. Et le moins qu'on puisse dire, c'est que cela ne donne pas trs envie d'y rester" dclare-t-il.

Au sein d'Europe Ecologie-Les Verts, si on reconnat l'inlgance de l'aggression, on rappelle la vedette du petit cran la ralit du terrain et de la vie politique :'Nous avons tous dj t victimes de ce type d'agression' relativise Franois de Rugy, dput cologiste prsent sur les lieux. Saumur - Jour 1

Comme promis je vais vous raconter Saumur... Je passerais rapidement sur le jour 1, car il n'est pas très intéressant... En effet après la route, le repas sur l'aire d'autoroute et l'arrivée... Il n'y a pas grand chose à raconter! Nous avons commencé à découvrir la ville mais il faisait froid et une pluie fine nous tombait sur la tronche. Nous avons vite renoncé (après tout de même une boisson en terrasse), et nous sommes donnés rendez-vous le soir même à 20h pour aller manger.

Chacun ayant pu choisir sa chambre, ma collègue et moi nous sommes retrouvées seules et nous étions bien décidées à profiter de cette semaine. Nous avons d'ors et déjà pu discuter de ce qui s'était produit dans nos voitures respectives, et de l'attitude des gens que nous emmenions.

Recovery weak but Fed needn't do more, Lacker says

Economic growth could remain soft for some time but monetary policy may not be able to address the problem, Richmond Federal Reserve Bank President Jeffrey Lacker said on Monday.

In a speech that focused primarily on the role of manufacturing in the U.S. South, Lacker's occasional nods to the national outlook were rather glum.

"One striking observation that may be relevant to the possibility that growth underperforms for a sustained period is the apparent reluctance of many employers to add workers in the face of rising demand," Lacker told a business conference.

May data showed employers added just 54,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate climbed to 9.1 percent.

It was a remarkably downbeat speech from the vocal inflation hawk, who until recently was predicting the U.S. economy might grow as much as 4 percent in 2011. Lacker said he was currently in the process of revising down his forecast.

Lacker, who opposed the Fed's $600 billion bond-buying stimulus launched in November, did not directly address monetary policy or inflation in his prepared remarks. But he told reporters after the speech that he did not believe more monetary easing would be appropriate.

"We ought to be very wary of thinking monetary policy is the right response," Lacker said.

Asked about inflation, Lacker said the stabilization of energy prices was encouraging, but policymakers should keep an eye on prices outside food and energy, which have been firming.

Lacker noted manufacturing had been a bright spot in the recovery, arguing that public policy should nurture the sector by making proper investments in training and education.

But his disappointment with the latest round of weak economic figures was palpable.

"The inability so far of the expansion to gain more traction has been frustrating," Lacker said.

He noted the strength in consumer spending at the end of 2010 had abated at the start of this year.

"The recovery that began in the second half of 2009 has been patchy and has yet to produce a sustained period of above-trend growth," Lacker said.

The U.S. economy grew an annual rate of just 1.8 percent in the first quarter.

Public vs. private: Long an issue for John Edwards

The legal case against two-time presidential candidate John Edwards focuses on where to draw the line between the public and private in a politician's life, a divide he riskily straddled throughout his entire career and family life.

Edwards isn't alone. The private activities and concerns of public officials increasingly seem to be pulled or pushed into the public arena. Is that Rep. Anthony Weiner modeling his underwear? Donald Trump and Sarah Palin use a knife and fork to eat pizza! Which school did President Barack Obama pick to go all the way in college hoops?

These things don't reveal much about their qualifications to lead, yet they fascinate Americans.

Edwards, a millworker's son, was a master at honing an image of his private life for public consumption.

There was much to draw the public to Edwards and his family that seemed so full of youthful vibrancy. He had a whip-smart wife who was at least his equal in political talent and a daughter getting her Ivy League education. The tow-headed youngest daughter and son coaxed smiles out of voters and even from the journalists invited to board the family's campaign bus, eat their snacks and join their sing-alongs. The way that the Edwardses dealt with their son Wade's death in an auto accident won sympathy.

But from the start, there were ruses. Edwards' chief criminal accuser, former aide Andrew Young, writes in his book how Edwards would drive a beat-up Buick Park Avenue while on campaign business, stashing his BMW and Lexus to keep up the "everyman" image.

Now the central dispute over his indictment on felony charges is whether money that two of his supporters spent to keep his mistress in hiding were campaign contributions that should have been reported publicly, as prosecutors say, or private gifts from friends, as Edwards' lawyers claim.

Edwards' team says the payments were to keep the affair a secret from hurting his cancer-stricken wife. The government alleges they were a scheme to keep the child conceived by Edwards and Rielle Hunter a secret from the public to protect his White House ambitions.

"A centerpiece of Edwards' candidacy was his public image as a devoted family man," the indictment of Edwards says. "The communication strategy developed by Edwards' campaign stressed the importance of publicizing, among other things, `that (Edwards') family comes first.'"

That is a reference to the communications plan Edwards' advisers wrote in advance of the 2008 nominating race, when the former North Carolina senator was coming off a losing race as vice presidential nominee to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., on the 2004 ticket.

The undated document, turned over to prosecutors and provided to The Associated Press by a person involved in the investigation, stressed that "JRE" — the initials Edwards' staffers often used to refer to him — had a unique chance to show Americans how he "shares their everyday values."

"JRE is a household name, and we have a remarkable opportunity to give voters a richer understanding of just who John Edwards is — the man, not the politician," the plan said. President George W. Bush "of course, has done a tremendous job in this regard — in 2000, among many other things, people knew he liked to clear brush, that he loved baseball, that he loved his wife, and that he had overcome personal adversity. "

It recommended that Edwards use every chance to attend activities with his family, such as going to a theme park, rodeo or high school football games. "These do not need to be advertised to the press," it said. "Word will get out on its own. And hearing about things like this from your friend or neighbor is much more powerful than a staged photo-op on the 6 p.m. news. We should do this AS OFTEN as possible."

It also suggested that a book by his wife, Elizabeth, would help the effort. She ended up writing "Saving Graces," published in September 2006. That book and a second published after her husband's campaign was over and his philandering exposed endeared her to many as a woman of strength who gracefully dealt with hardships, even the cancer that would kill her. Meanwhile, campaign operatives whispered behind the scenes that Elizabeth could often be cruel and demanding.

While the campaign communications plan stressed Edwards' devotion to family and Elizabeth, he was secretly spending time in the lead-up to the campaign with his videographer.

"In the same way that so many know that JRE is the son of a mill worker and the first person in his family to go to college (which we cannot repeat enough), we need people to know:

"_ that his family comes first,

"_ that he and Elizabeth have overcome tremendous challenges and adversity,

"_ that faith has been an important part of his life,

"_ what his friends think about him, and

"_ what he likes to do for fun."

Even disregarding the National Enquirer reports during the campaign about Edwards' affair, which he denied, there were other signs the public image of his private life was not as it seemed.

While Edwards' campaigned on a fight against poverty and the "Two Americas" of the haves and have-nots, it was disclosed that he was getting $400 haircuts, building a 28,000-square foot home and consulting work for a hedge fund that catered to the wealthy.

Edwards' lies eventually alienated most of his one-time supporters and advisers and demolished his political career. Now he really does have more time for family, and even now it is still part of his public image.

As he left federal court Friday in a crush of media photographers, his daughter Cate was by his side.

Royals calling up 3B Mike Moustakas

For three years Kansas City fans have waited to see Mike Moustakas and Eric Hosmer, their heralded first-round picks of 2007 and '08, on the field together in Kauffman Stadium.

Now it's about to happen. Hosmer's been manning first base since he was called up from Triple-A Omaha on May 6 and has been the Royals' best hitter. Now Moustakas, a native of Los Angeles, will make his major league debut on Friday night when the Royals open a three-game set against at the Angels.

The Royals will purchase his contract from Omaha and hand him third base.

"We'll put Moose at third," manager Ned Yost said when the move was announced following KC's 3-2 victory over Toronto on Thursday afternoon. "Get his big league career started. He's been hot, swinging the bat well, driving in runs, playing good third base. Time's right."

Moustakas was hitting .356 in his last 10 games. For the season at Omaha, he was hitting .287 with 10 home runs and 44 RBIs.

The Royals also announced that struggling infielder Mike Aviles was going to Omaha.

Hosmer, who is hitting .309 with five home runs and 21 RBIs in just 32 games, was delighted at the news.

"I couldn't be happier for him. I'm going to give him a call right now," Hosmer said. "I'm really excited. One of my best friends in professional baseball. It's going to be fun. We've been texting back and forth."

Hosmer and Moustakas are the most anticipated prospects the Royals have had since Bo Jackson more than two decades ago.

Hosmer said he would have no advice for his friend.

"He doesn't need no advice for me. He's good enough," he said. "He's been through it all. He's going to come up here and just be nice and relaxed. The first game will be exciting for him, in his home town. I'm sure all his family will be there. He's going to come up here and hit his stride."

Un prof, quoi qu’il puisse en dire, peut avoir des réflexes d’acteur, même s’il les réprime. Après une année passée à jouer ses numéros, sketches et scènes divers, il lui arrive d’aspirer à la reconnaissance du public. En l’occurrence, élèves, étudiants. Or, à la différence des professionnels de la scène et des caméras, il ne dispose pas, pour consulter son baromètre de qualité, de critiques dans des magazines, ou de fans l’attendant à la sortie du spectacle pour lui dire s’ils l’ont trouvé bon, moyen, ou mauvais. En général, pour les acteurs, c’est la première des trois options qui est la plus fréquente, avec autographe à la clé. On attend rarement quelqu’un pour lui dire qu’on l’a trouvé minable. Mais, mais, mais, les avis peuvent varier.

Opening Serve: Cordova, Alabama was one of many towns ravaged by this spring's recent torrent of tornadoes. As those familiar with the scenes of Hurricane Katrina's aftermath know, trailers are a key component to the Federal Emergency Management Agency's recovery efforts for places struck by natural disasters. But, despite the fact that "scores of homes, businesses and city buildings were destroyed or damaged by the time the winds died down," according to the , Cordova's Mayor, Jack Scott, refuses to make an exception to the city's previously unenforced ban on single-wide mobile homes by allowing FEMA trailers to house those left homeless by the storm.He told the, "We're trying to better Cordova. We're trying to clean up Cordova and keep it clean. We're trying to keep property values up. We're trying to get it to where people will want to build homes on these vacant lots." The local paper notes that Scott claimed "the city has worked out other options for the survivors...but declined to discuss them."Return Volley: The trailer ban has not gone over well with Cordova residents who are now without homes. James Ruston, who's "house was knocked off its foundation...and is still uninhabitable," is just one of over 200 " filling a meeting last week and circulating petitions to remove the man many blame for the decision, Mayor Jack Scott," the . Ruston was informed, after FEMA delivered a mobile home to his property, that "single-wide homes, like the FEMA one, are illegal in the city of Cordova." Ruston told the Associated Press that "he doesn't want to live in a mobile home forever, and he didn't want to leave Cordova to move in with a relative after his FEMA trailer was turned away," but is now considering leaving the city altogether. "If we're going to have a mayor like that I'll just go elsewhere," he said. Harvey Hastings, another Cordova resident, told the news agency, "there are trailers all over here but [Scott] wants to clean all the trash out. He doesn't like lower-class people."Scott's response to the complaints? "I don't feel guilty. I can look anyone in the eye."What They Say the Fight's About: Scott is adamant about taking advantage of the older law to ensure the quality and cleanliness of his city. Cordova's displaced residents insist that they are owed at least temporary housing to replace their homes lost in the storm.What the Fight's Really About: The fact that this city-wide trailer ban has not been enforced since it was signed into law in 1957 could lend support to Harvey Hasting's claim, that this is just the mayor's way of keeping the so-called riff raff out of the city (despite the fact that many of those complaining owned actual houses before the tornado). Scott has allowed the city's police headquarters and City Hall to take refuge in trailers similar and even smaller than those provided by FEMA. He is standing in front of one of these trailers in the photograph above. So his objection probably isn't to trailers as trailers so much as uncontrollable trailers, a slippery slope. There's plenty of chaos to manage in the wake of the tornado, and it's possible he's worried about losing control of the riff raff issue as the city rebuilds.Who's Winning Now: Alabama's Governor Robert Bentley has received several calls from Cordova residents attempting to circumvent the stubborn mayor. Alabama'sreports that "the governor has instructed state EMA officials to meet with Mayor Jack Scott and try to come up with a solution quickly." Though Scott doesn't look poised to give in to his constituents' demands any time soon, phaps the state, national and even international attention this dispute has received--he's already been mocked by --will persuade or embarrass him into changing his attitude. Massive swings among new theme park attractions

Massive swings at Cedar Point, Kings Island, Dollywood and a Six Flags in California, plus coasters at Six Flags themed on the Green Lantern and a new Little Mermaid attraction at Disneyland are among the new attractions awaiting visitors this season at theme parks around the country.

Cedar Point and Kings Island in Ohio, and Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif., all are rolling out a thrill ride called Windseeker, which spins riders nearly 30 stories in the air in two-person swings that flare out and rotate around a tower.

An extremely wet April in Ohio delayed work on the ride at Cedar Point in Sandusky and Kings Island in Mason, so they weren't ready when the parks opened earlier in May, but they're expected to be up and running around Memorial Day.

Six Flags parks in Vallejo, Calif., and St. Louis also are debuting monster swings. Their version, called SkyScreamer, towers 236 feet above the ground with two-person swings soaring in a 98-foot circle at 43 mph. The ride will be lighted at night from top to bottom.

And Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., added a swing ride called Barnstormer, with two pendulum arms seating 16 passengers each. The swing takes riders to a peak of 81 feet in the air and rotates at 45 mph. A barnyard-themed play area and pig pen water play area surround the ride.

"Creativity and innovation, which are really the foundation of the business, are alive and well in our industry, and I think the attractions that are opening illustrate that," said David Mandt, spokesman for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.

Roller coaster enthusiasts will also be able to get their fix on new rides at the Six Flags parks.

Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J., and Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif., are launching Green Lantern, a 15-story stand-up coaster that begins with a 45-mph vertical drop before rocketing riders through five inversions, including loops and corkscrews.

Green Lantern is among three new coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Six Flags New England near Springfield, Mass., adds the steel coaster called Gotham City: Gauntlet Escape from Arkham Asylum, while the Dare Devil Dive coaster opens at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Ga., featuring a 10-story vertical drop. Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington marks its 50th anniversary by bringing back a faster and steeper Texas Giant coaster.

New York's Coney Island has this year opened its first new roller coasters since the famed Cyclone was built in the 1920s. Four new thrill rides in the park are known collectively as the Scream Zone.

In early June, Disney California Adventure in Anaheim debuts The Little Mermaid — Ariel's Undersea Adventure as part of a multiyear billion-dollar expansion of the park. The family-friendly ride features characters from the popular movie as riders travel on a virtual underwater journey. Disney parks in Orlando, Fla., and California are reopening the venerable Star Tours ride with a new 3-D element and "Star Wars"-inspired story line for the deep space flight simulator. Star Tours opened May 20 at Disney World and will open June 3 at Disneyland.

"Star Wars" fans get a treat at Legoland in Carlsbad, Calif., too, with Star Wars Miniland, which offers scenes from the movies made of 1.5 million Lego bricks, including depictions of Tatooine where Luke Skywalker grew up; Endor; the icy planet Hoth and the Millennium Falcon. Later in the year, in October, the world's fifth Legoland park is scheduled to open on the East Coast, on the site of the old Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, Fla.

SeaWorld parks in Orlando, Fla, San Diego and San Antonio are introducing their first new Shamu shows in five years, environmentally themed killer whale attractions called "Believe." In addition, SeaWorld San Diego opens Turtle Reef, a nearly 300,000-gallon aquarium featuring more than 60 threatened or endangered sea turtles. Another animal-themed attraction, Cheetah Hunt, opens at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Fla., with a cheetah habitat and roller coaster.

Universal Studios Hollywood has a new video host for its tram tour this year in the person of Jimmy Fallon. The former "Saturday Night Live" star and late-night talk show host narrates the tour, which takes visitors behind the scenes of movies and television shows to sets and locations on the Universal Studios back lot.

Fallon called the tour "a classic" that shows "all the hard work that goes into making a movie or a TV show." Fallon's narration starts in June, replacing Whoopi Goldberg.

On Memorial Day weekend, Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta will premiere an all-new laser show using a new digital projection system, special effects and pyrotechnics. The 825-foot side of Stone Mountain has been used a canvas for laser shows at the park since 1983.

New faces in Spain squad for friendlies

Getafe striker Manu del Moral has been called up to the Spain squad for the first time by coach Vicente del Bosque for next month's friendlies against the United States and Venezuela.

Villareal midfielders Bruno Soriano, who won his first and only cap in a friendly against Mexico last year, and the uncapped Borja Valero are also on the list of 23 players.

Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo, who has been overlooked since the World Cup qualifiers, rejoins the squad for the matches in Boston on June 4 and in Puerto la Cruz in Venezuela on June 7.

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres is also named despite his disappointing club form since his transfer from Liverpool in January.

Barcelona's Carlos Puyol and Xavi Hernandez are rested as they will take part in the European Champions League final against Manchester United on Saturday.

In a news conference Del Bosque praised Del Moral, 27, who is to play for Sevilla next season, for his "versatility" and as someone who "can play on either side of the field" and "a fresh player."

Regarding Negredo's absence from international duty, he said "a coach always will make mistakes... This season he has had ups and downs and at the end of the season he has shown himself to be one of the best strikers."

The encounter between the world champions and the United States will be the first since since the USA defeated Spain 2-0 in the semi-final of the Confederations Cup in South Africa in 2009.

Spain, which tops its Euro 2012 qualifying Group I with a 100 percent record, faces Liechtenstein at home in its next match on September 6.

As Tornado Destruction Continues, World Vision Offers 8 Tips on How to Talk to Kids About Disasters, Tragedies

These tips are provided by child-focused humanitarian organization . World Vision responds toand around the world, and is providing urgently needed personal hygiene kits, school supplies for children, and cleaning supplies for recovery efforts in Alabama, Missouri, Minnesota, Virginia, and North Carolina.

Talking to kids about tragedy

Talking to children about tragedy is a job most parents would love to avoid. If only our children did not need to hear about things like this past week's devastating tornadoes in Joplin, Missouri, and now, Oklahoma and Kansas. But of course, they do hear. And they are full of questions: Could this happen to me? What's going to happen to the children? Can I do anything to help the children I see on TV?

World Vision, a humanitarian relief organization with relief teams on the ground in the hard-hit communities and in numerous other relief responses each year, suggests eight ways to make a tough job a little bit easier.

1. Start by listening.

Find out what your child already knows. You can then respond in an age-appropriate way. The aim is not to worry them with the devastating details, but to protect them from misinformation they may have heard from friends or disturbing images they may have seen on television. Limit your answer to the question asked and use simple language.

2. If you don't know the answers to their questions, admit it

If your children ask questions that you can't answer, tell them so, and then do some research to try and help them sort it out. If they ask "Why did this have to happen?" don't be afraid to say "I don't know." If you are part of a faith community, the reassurance offered there can be invaluable in helping your child sort through the truth that awful things happen.

3. Tell the truth about any relatives who have been affected

If your family has relatives or friends in the tornado-affected areas, it may be doubly terrifying for your child. If your family members are safe, make sure to communicate this as soon as possible. If they are affected or have been harmed, explain in simple language what has happened and alleviate any fears that the same thing may happen to your child.

4. Follow media reports or online updates privately.

Young children in particular are very impressionable, and seeing or hearing about the horrifying details of the tornadoes may be more than they can cope with. Adults, too, should ensure they are dealing with their own emotions by talking to others, so they can continue to respond well to their children's needs.

5. Concentrate on making them feel safe.

When tragedies occur, children wonder if the same event could happen in their hometown. If tornadoes are unlikely to occur in your geographic area, tell children that. Placing themselves in the situations of victims is not all badit is a sign of empathy, an essential life skill, but watch for signs of excessive worrying.

6. Give children creative outlets.

Some children may not be prepared to speak about what they have heard, but may find drawing or other creative activities helpful to deal with their emotions and stress. Their drawings can be helpful starting points for conversation.

7. Model involvement and compassion.

Tell your child that as a family, you will be helping the people in tornado-affected communities by giving a donation to a reputable charity responding to the tragedy.

8. Give your child a chance to be involved.

Being involved in the solution will help relieve some of their anxiety. Invite them to contribute to the family's gift by giving something out of their piggy bank, or writing a letter to affected children which you can submit to the local paper on their behalf.

There's an app for that." But now Google's releasedwhich it says is "an Android app that makes your phone your wallet."

Confused? Well, think of it this way. In the same way that credit cards, gift cards, and store loyalty cards replaced carrying cash around, Google's trying to replace all your plastic cards with virtual ones, tied to an app on your phone.

How does that work?

It uses a technology called Near-Field Communication, which is a fancy way of saying "You wave your phone at things and stuff happens." In this case, credit card payments--plus store check-ins and things that tie into Google's new Groupon-style offering,

So, wait. Couldn't I accidentally pay for something just by getting my phone near the sensor?

No. First,you don't just put your phone near the sensor; you physically tap it onto it. And second, you have to enter a PIN number first. It's basically like making a credit card payment, but you enter a PIN on your phone instead of signing your name on a PIN pad. And you keep the card in your Google Wallet, instead of your physical wallet.

Is it safe to use virtual credit cards, though?

It'd better be, because we've kinda been using them for years!

A credit card isn't like the key to your car, in that you need the actual card to make payments. It's more like the sticky note above your monitor, with the password for your email. It's basically a reminder sheet that has your credit card number written down on it, plus your security code and other info.

They usually need outside data like your signature to complete a transaction, and of course the data's also encoded on their magnetic strips and/or "smart card" chips. But the point is, a thief doesn't need your physical credit card to steal your identity ... just your credit card number, and a few other pieces of information. And Google keeps your credit card info safe in a separate chipwhere no one can get to it except the merchants who receive your payment info.

It needs a special chip? What phones have that?

Attorney drops Mo. Senate bid to run for Congress

Republican attorney Ed Martin is dropping his challenge to Democrat Claire McCaskill in Missouri's 2012 U.S. Senate race.

Martin announced in a Monday email to supporters that he will instead run for a newly redrawn 2nd Congressional district representing the St. Louis area.

The attorney unsuccessfully challenged Democratic U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan last year in Missouri's 3rd Congressional District. He said several months ago that he would challenge McCaskill.

His change in plans comes after the Missouri Legislature last week enacted new congressional district boundaries in response to the 2010 census. That map eliminates Carnahan's district and expands the 2nd Congressional District in suburban St. Louis. A Carnahan spokeswoman said he's still weighing his options.

Second district incumbent Todd Akin has said he is considering the Senate race.

Missouri sues to block demolition of levee on Mississippi

The Missouri attorney general filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday asking a judge to stop the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' plans to detonate the levee at Birds Point on the Mississippi River.

Attorney General Chris Koster said the Corps, which manages the river, is preparing to intentionally breach the levee in hopes of keeping Cairo, Illinois, from flooding. Koster said demolition of the levee will cause serious flooding across as much as 130,000 acres of Mississippi County, Missouri.

A law enacted in the 1920s requires the Corps to blow up the levee if the gauge at Cairo reaches a certain water level. But Koster believes the law is "unclear" as to whether the Corps actually has the authority to make the decision to detonate.

"There are no 'good' options at this juncture," said Koster in a statement. But he said given the long-term effects of the government's proposal on Missouri citizens, the state wants a review by the federal court.

A spokesperson for the Corps was not immediately available for comment.

Koster said the flooding would leave a layer of silt that could take a generation to clear, causing significant injury to the quality of the farmland. The flooding also would affect 100 homes.

About 100 people have already agreed to voluntarily evacuate Cairo, which is at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers, according to Cairo Fire Department Captain Brandon Manker.

One problem the area is experiencing is that the Ohio and Mississippi rivers are flooding at the same time, and the Ohio, which usually drains into the bigger river, can't do so, according to Buddy Rogers, spokesman for the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management.

There has been flooding along the Ohio River from Cincinnati to the Mississippi, according to the National Weather Service.

With no free agency, drafting is tougher

Strange. Unique. Weird.

Those are the buzz words for this week's NFL draft, the most unusual selection process since free agency began 18 years ago. From players to scouts to general managers to coaches, no one's quite sure how this year's draft will play out.

Unable to plug holes with free agents because of an owners lockout in its seventh week — an injunction granted Monday to the players seeking an end to the work stoppage isn't likely to impact the draft — NFL teams could look to pick rookies who seem more prepared to have an early impact. That goes against the general philosophy of past drafts to grab the highest-rated player, even if he doesn't figure to contribute early on.

Because many team needs have not been addressed by signing veterans, some clubs could reach in the draft to fill those holes.

"I think my feeling on that is that it actually helps us with the draft," said Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, who now runs football operations for the Broncos. "Now we can find the best players that are on that draft board that can come in and are really going to help us, and then to fill in with free agency rather than having free agency and having to fill through the draft.

"If you're filling through the draft, then you're drafting with need. This way we can go out and, in my opinion, get the best players for the Denver Broncos and then fill with free agency. It doesn't put the pressure on us to draft with need. We now have the time in free agency, if we have some holes after the draft, to address those holes."

So maybe there won't be much reaching.

"I don't want to reach for players just to fill a roster spot," Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said. "You have to be smart. Free agency will open up again. I do know that."

And maybe there will be.

"That's the challenge all of the time and that's a great question from that point of view because you fight that," Bills scouting chief Tom Modrak said. "If you have an open hole, you want to be sure you don't want to put a player in there just because it is (open). You want to still get a good player, a good talent, you're not oblivious ... to what that is.

"Let's say you feel you're deep at a particular position, you still don't want to overlook people because at some point they become a good value."

This draft is filled with challenges aside from the usual ones such as is this quarterback (Blaine Gabbert) more NFL-ready than that one (Cam Newton)? Is this dangerous receiver (A.J. Green) more of a game-breaker than that one (Julio Jones)?

For personnel men from Seattle to Miami, draft-day trading has an entirely new dynamic: No actual players can be swapped. Not just veterans, either; once a player is drafted, he can't be dealt elsewhere on Thursday, Friday or Saturday — or until the lockout ends.

Draft slots can be traded as long as they haven't yet been filled.

And with the draft being challenged in the players' lawsuit against the league to get the lockout lifted, who knows if 2012 picks are worth anything?

Many of the men doing the selecting admit they've had more time to do actual scouting or to dissect more video than ever. But they also must be careful it doesn't lead to overanalysis.

"I have been able to watch more players myself with free agency not here," Giants GM Jerry Reese said about his recent video viewing. "But we've put in about the same preparation time."

Reese admits he isn't looking for anything different in 2011 with NFL business at a standstill than he was in his previous four drafts during labor peace.

"I wish we could get a lot of guys who play right away," Reese said, "but most of these guys are developmental. You don't get those Randy Moss-type guys.

"We don't want to make it harder than it is. We're not splitting the atom in the draft room."

... que malgré les apparences, je ne m'en vais pas du tout, et qu'au contraire, j'espère même revenir très bientôt par ici.

Si janvier et février ont été plutôt des mois "calmes" pour moi, je n'ai pas vu les quinze derniers jours passer. Je suis littéralement noyée sous l'énorme quantité de travail qui m'est tombée dessus il y a peu, et au mieux, je n'en verrai la fin que dimanche ou lundi.

Ne croyez pas pour autant que je viens m'en plaindre, car j'en suis bien au contraire ravie. De très très très beaux projets m'attendent également à mon retour de vacances, et j'ai une telle hâte de me plonger dedans que c'est presque si je ne voudrais pas être déjà rentrée (j'ai dit presque !).

Mais qui dit travail dit priorités à revoir et je regrette d'avoir du laisser cet espace encore une fois à l'abandon aussi longtemps, et aussi de ne pas avoir pu poursuivre mes lectures de vos propres blogs. Mon reader devient fou, mais j'ai bon espoir d'en venir à bout d'ici mon départ qui se profile à l'horizon et qui accapare aussi une majeure partie de mes week-ends.

First Person: Waiting for Family News After New Zealand Quake

The news of the earthquake shocked me the most in the family. I am not one who keeps up with the news throughout the world until a friend brings it up. I do not like knowing all of the bad that occurs around me and I find news from other countries very depressing. However, when I heard this news, knowing that I have a cousin sitting over in the area most affected by this earthquake, my heart sank and panic hit. The first news I heard was that there were 65 dead, dozens injured, and possibly 300 people missing in this tragedy. Knowing that I am the first in the family to panic, my cousin contacted me first by email.

This earthquake apparently ripped through the Christchurch area of New Zealand at a 6.3 magnitude on the Richter scale. For those of you who do not know what a 6.3 earthquake feels like, an earthquake feels like a giant walked up, picked up the building that you are peacefully minding your own business in, and started shaking it like a two year old with a rattle. Finding the floor, the walls, or the ceiling is impossible through the personal panic and noise and by the time you figure out what is going on, it's over and nothing is where you left it, not even the car you had left in the garage 30 minutes ago.

Currently, the communications from my cousin other than letting us know that he was alive have been cut off due to rescue attempts and lack of power for the most part. All trained personnel have been asked to help in the search for the missing, injured, and trapped.

As for my cousin and my feelings toward where he is now, I feel he is in the best place that he could be. He joined the military to help others and right now apparently that is where he is needed. As for family back here in Maryland, we are confident in who he is and stand behind him in his mission to help as many people as possible. Since he is United States military, he will not be evacuating when airports reopen, he will stay for his term in New Zealand and he will do so with pride.

Nouveau départ

Bonne nouvelle, l'Homme a trouvé du boulot !

Pas loin de chez nous, pas salissant, pas debout toute la journée, au chaud et intéressant : que demander de plus ?!
Un CDD qui se transformera normalement en CDI dans 7 mois (c'est ce qui est prévu à priori ...)
Les horaires sont un peu décalés (7h00 / 14h20 ou 13h40 / 21h00), va falloir s'adapter ! (surtout dans les premiers temps .... un certain nombre de rendez-vous, réunions etc. sont déjà prévus et ça "coince" un peu ...)

Les "matins", pas trop de soucis pour gérer le réveil, les petits dej et l'embarquement de tout le monde à 7h30, j'ai l'habitude depuis septembre ; à midi par contre, terminé les pieds sous la table !! (va juste falloir s'habituer à le voir aller bosser le samedi matin .... le jour de repos en plus du dimanche sera jeudi ou vendredi ces semaines là ...)

Les "après midi", ça va être un peu sport le soir pour récupérer Grand et P'tits Mecs au lycée, collège et chez la nounou (oui, les grands peuvent marcher aussi ; oui, ils ont des vélos ...). Mes parents ne sont pas loin du tout et pourront nous donner un coup de main si nécessaire.

Depuis près de 2 ans, le rythme était assez cool ... ça va changer !

Ce qui va changer aussi, c'est que nous allons à nouveau pouvoir faire des projets immobiliers !!

Bref, nouveau changement de cap par chez nous, et c'est chouette !!!

En pleine dichotomie ....

Cela fait exactement 8 mois et 17 jours que je ne bosse plus : congé maternité plus long pour la naissance d'un 3ème bébé plus une petite rallonge de 3 mois grâce à la super convention de mon boulot !!!

Sauf que dans 5 semaines j'y retourne et que je ne pensais pas que ça allait déjà me travailler, c'est le cas de le dire muahahaha !!

En fait, comme le titre l'indique, je suis divisée entre l'envie de profiter encore de mon fils, il va trop me manquer ça va être horrible, et l'envie de reprendre ma vie active d'avant !

Mais bon je pense que la séparation va nous faire du bien à tous les 2 : lui va apprendre à se détacher un peu de sa maman et s'ouvrir à d'autres, et moi je vais enfin pouvoir avoir des discussions d'adultes, me sentir utile pour ma société et pour la société et surtout je vais pouvoir m'habiller de façon plus féminine et plus class !! Fini le jean et les bottes de motard enfilés en 2-2, pas coiffée, pas maquillée, pour emmener les grandes à l'école et fini le pyjama pour faire les tâches ménagères !!!!

Par contre, je suis vraiment consciente que avec 3 enfants ça va être la course non stop et que la maman trendy que j'essayais d'être va peut-être en prendre un coup !!! Enfin je vous raconterai, ça risque d'être comique !!!

En attendant si vous avez des conseils d'organisation je suis preneuse car c'est un domaine dans lequel je n'excelle pas du tout et avec 3 lardons et un boulot à temps plein, je vais en avoir sacrément besoin ;-) !

Bon voilà c'était ma pause "racontage de life" qui m'a fait du bien, merci ;-) !!!

Juste quelques mots écrits à la va-vite, et j'en ai presque honte, car on fête aujourd'hui les deux ans de création du Cocooning. Comme l'an passé je souhaitais vous faire une rétrospective de l'année écoulée mais ça prend un temps fou et je n'ai pas eu le temps de la terminer mais je vais essayer de la faire au plus vite!

La faute à ma semaine qui est passée très vite avec une transition pour mon nouveau boulot qui casse un peu le rythme (sachant que je retourne trois jours à mon ancien job la semaine prochaine pour mieux revenir au nouveau). Nouveau boulot = nouveau transport, nouveau rythme, nouveaux collègues, tout plein de changements qui font du bien mais qui demande du temps et de l'énergie. Résultat des courses je suis malade, fatiguée, je bosse aujourd'hui et le week-end va être très court mais je suis HEUREUSE!

Je m'épanouie à Nantes, à la ville, dans ce travail qui me correspond et ça fait un bien fou! Mon programme de cette fin de semaine s'est adapté à ce nouveau mode de vie et j'ai apprécié:

❤ Faire quelques boutiques pour trouver un cadeau, m'acheter des produits L'Occitane pour me chouchouter, des places pour le concert de Moriarty à Nantes...

❤ Déjeuner au Quatre Saisons (cuisine chinoise à emporter à se damner) dans le quartier Bouffay.

❤ Flâner au Passage Pommeraye et acheter de bons macarons à la Maison Larnicol.

❤ Déjeuner avec Cathy, Marine, Eliz & Morgane chez Madam Bla.

❤ Un anniversaire surprise qui permet de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes, d'en revoir d'autres, d'être de retour, pour de bon.

❤ Partir au boulot avec Mr l'Amoureux, le retrouver le soir en ville, ne pas voir la journée passer...

Sur ce, je file, vous souhaite une bonne journée et je ne vous cache pas que j'ai hâte d'être demain pour dormir, bloguer, lire des articles en retard, jouer au jeu de danse sur Kinect, profiter de Mimi, cuisiner, préparer un discours de départ, bref, il y a du pain sur la planche!

Betty, c’est une collègue de travail que j’aime beaucoup. J’ai déjà fait allusion plusieurs fois à elle, ici et là.

Jeudi après-midi, elle vient me voir pendant la récré, mutine...

« Il faut que je te raconte quelque chose... »

« ... ? »

« Cette nuit, j’ai été réveillée par ta faute »

(Tête de Lancelot version éberluée...)

« Oui, parce que j’ai rêvé de toi... »

« Aaaah, OK ! Je m’étais imaginé déjà le téléphone sonnant en pleine nuit : ‘Vous avez un collègue de travail recherché par la DST, il faut absolument nous fournir toutes les informations dont vous disposez, il est dangereux...’ »

« Non, non, tu es bête ! C’était juste un rêve... »

« Et pourquoi tu t’es réveillée ? Un cauchemar ? Dans l’histoire, je t’ai mordue ? »

« Non, non, au contraire, je me suis réveillée en rigolant... »

« En fait dans mon rêve, on était dans une soirée. Il y avait Nattie, toi, moi, d’autres profs. Il y avait Bibiche, aussi.... »

(‘Bibiche’, c’est le surnom de l’ex-maîtresse de l’ex-proviseur. Il a pris sa retraite depuis, et elle a muté. Elle aussi, j’en ai déjà parlé ! Ici !).

« Ah, et c’était elle qui nous faisait rire ? »

« Non. En fait tu te faisais draguer par une femme, et à un moment tu as levé la tête et tu m’as regardée en me faisant une grimace d’ennui et d’exaspération telle, que j’ai éclaté de rire ! »

« Ah bon ? Et comment ça finissait ? Je me laissais séduire ? »

« Ben je sais pas, parce que le fait de me mettre à pouffer m’a réveillée ! »

« Donc, si je te suis bien, pour toi, si une femme me faisait des avances, ma seule réaction possible serait une grimace dégoûtée ? »

« Ah ben je sais pas non plus, c’est comme cela que ça s’est passé dans mon rêve en tout cas ! »

Mouais...

Je pense pouvoir suivre Betty à demi-mot. Ou, en l'occurrence, à "demi-rêve". Il paraît, on me l’a déjà dit plusieurs fois, que j’ai un visage très expressif. J’ai du mal à dissimuler joie, colère, exaspération, peur, dégoût, ou autre. Mes muscles de la face réagissent de façon autonome ! Pour l’impassibilité, je me suis déjà entraîné des heures, sans grand résultat. Ca m’ennuie un peu, mais bon, ce n’est pas un bien grand handicap. J’en joue, même, en cours. Si une faute de grammaire énorme ressurgit dans la bouche d’un élève alors que j’ai déjà mis la classe mille fois en garde, je fronce les sourcils, je tords ma bouche, je plisse le nez, jusqu’à l’exagération. Bozo, le grand retour. Ils se roulent tous de rire sous les tables. Véridique. Effet garanti. Ne pas en abuser, sous peine de passer pour le « prof café-théâtre »....

Mais là n’est pas la question.

La question, c’est : réagirais-je ouvertement avec dégoût, ou, disons, répulsion, si une femme me faisait des avances ? D’abord, la plus élémentaire politesse voudrait que non.

D’ailleurs, je me rappelle plusieurs cas où une femme m’a dragué. A chaque fois, J’ai joué les diplomates. Ou les anguilles, disons. Je dis pas oui, je dis pas non, je rigole, je fais le blasé, je fais celui qui a compris mais qui fait semblant de pas comprendre. Genre « Tu es très mignonne mais je ne suis pas intéressé ». En général ça suffit. Une seule fois, ça avait été plus gênant : j’étais seul avec une copine que j’avais raccompagnée chez elle et qui m’avait carrément proposé de finir la nuit dans son lit, car son mari était absent. Pas de possibilité de me défiler autrement qu’en disant « non ». Et, bien sûr, je ne tenais pas à m’empêtrer dans les explications sur mes préférences sexuelles. Mais comment ne pas vexer ? D’autant qu’elle était très attirante par ailleurs. Je m’en étais sorti avec un ou deux baisers et d’hypocrites « Non, je connais Gérard », (le mari) « ce ne serait pas honnête vis-à-vis de lui, bla bla bla... ».

Ce que le rêve de Betty m’a rappelé, aussi, c’est la réplique très répandue chez certains mecs hétéros : « Ah moi je n’ai rien contre les homos, ils font ce qu’ils veulent entre eux, mais qu’ils ne viennent pas me draguer ou me faire des avances parce que ça risque de mal se terminer... »

Désolé si j’ai une position un peu « corporatiste » sur ce point, mais le mélange hypocrite de tolérance et de connerie contenu dans cette réaction-là m’énerve. Est-ce que, pour le même mec hétéro, ça risquerait de « mal se terminer » s’il se faisait faire des avances par une femme qui ne lui plaît pas ? Je suppose qu’il aborderait sa réponse avec plus de tact. Il est vrai que la situation soulève aussi un autre problème. A une époque, ce n’étaient pas les femmes qui étaient censées faire des avances, en tout cas pas de façon directe. La société évolue sur ça. Les femmes draguent, et je trouve d’ailleurs que c’est une très bonne chose, même si je ne me sens pas trop concerné. Enfin si, que dis-je ! "Concerné", quelquefois ! La preuve ! Sinon, je ne vois pas en quoi des avances sexuelles, si elles sont faites de façon gentille et non « harceleuse », peuvent provoquer une quelconque réaction violente. Moi, me faire draguer par une femme, je trouve ça très, très, flatteur.

Même si la drague entre mecs est une des choses au monde que je trouve les plus électrisantes. Mais ça, c’est un autre débat.
